Saturday, June 16th, Serenity Knits will be hosting its first WWKiP Day.
Time: 11am through 3pm
Location: under the trees in Art Ferguson Park (directly across the street from Serenity Knits)
Please bring a lawn chair or blanket, whichever you prefer. We will be outdoors under the trees. If it rains, we will move to the store so the event is on no matter the weather.
We have a few fun things planned.
*Yarn races; any one who manages to beat Gabriela will receive a $25 gift certificate towards Summer Classes, second and third place will receive $10 gift certificates. We plan to have 3 races, 12 noon, 1pm and 2pm. If you want to participate, bring a skein of DK weight yarn and 4mm needles.
*The yarn shop version of Jelly Bean count; how many sheep in the jar. The closest guess will win a $25 gift certificate towards a summer class.
* Bring your own project or participate in the Southlake Preemie Hats KAL. Volunteers from Southlake have requested our help knitting little hats for babies born at Southlake. We have found a couple of preemie hat patterns which the average knitter could complete in a couple of hours. If you want to participate in the Southlake KAL, bring your favourite needles for circluar knitting for DK yarn. If you have any pink or blue DK baby yarn you wish to donate, we would gratefully accept any donations. We will have some Free yarn & patterns available for the KAL.
*We will have a few snacks and cold drinks available. If you plan to come and stay for a while, you may need something more substantial so we suggest you bring a lunch.
*And of course, a few sales!! For one day only, all pattern leaflets discounted 50%, all yarns discounted 25% or more and 20% off all books. Discounts limited to stock on hand and can not be applied to yarns on hold.
Hope to see you there.
